Gamagrass is best suited to a rotational grazing system because of its fast regrowth as we don’t like to graze closer than 10 inches. The grass stores no nutrients in the root system during the summer months so we like to leave plenty of leaf area for the plants well being.

Many of our customers have used this on beef, dairy and sheep grazing along with Shepherd Farms grazing our large herd of American buffalo. We have found that grazing gamagrass has improved our calving percentages and getting the cows to rebreed faster than grazing cool season grasses.
